Perfecting my hommus recipe

made a couple of changes to my hommus recipe this evening. Served with yummy pitta bread,  homegrown tomatoes and rocket.

Chicken tagine with pickled lemons and olives

Finally the lemons I pickled 6 weeks ago are now ready.........time to make chicken tagine with pickled lemons and green olives. 

the final dish,....so delicious. The sauce is rich with saffron and ginger.
Making your own pickled lemons makes such as difference, and it's not too much of an effort for the reward!

Summer salads......

This rice salad is one of my favourite summer salads. Brown basmati rice, toasted almonds, grated carrot, coriander, cumin seed, and a zesty olive oil dressing. Perfect for picnics and to accompany the bbq.
